Seasons: 1 with 7 episodes
Cast: Michael Biehn, Sharif Atkins, Ivan Sergei, Eric Balfour, Aya Sumika, Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa
Follow two pairs of detectives as they solve crimes in the island of Hawaii while being aided by the local police force.
Hawaii looks like an interesting production all around. It has a very likable cast of new comers and veterans like Biehn and Tagawa. The island itself is beautiful and works as a refreshing setting for a crime series. All the episodes were, if not superbly original, very entertaining at least with great, even tragic and touching stories. It really is a series that you could see running long in television... very, very long... even seven episodes, perhaps? That's right; it ended right there. After seven episodes. And I'm once again amazed by the way series are handled in America. At least give the series a chance, people!!!
Out of all Biehn's series, cancelling this one was the biggest dissapointment for me. Not only because of the fact it only ran for seven episodes but also because I liked it more than Adventure Inc. or Mag7.
Biehn came in to replace Michael Madsen in this one and with the backround of playing a lot of authority roles, I could think he had no trouble getting inside the character of Sean. It's too bad that because of the show's fast death, a lot was left unexplained. I wish they would come back to let us know more about the characters but unfortunately to no avail I guess. A missed opportunity.
