Cast: Brittany Murphy, Jay Mohr, Michael Biehn

A psychotic killer is viping out teenagers in the quiet small town of Cherry Falls. As Death count rises it becomes obvious that killer's targets are virgins. Suddenly everybody's in a hurry to lose their virginity.

On the surface it might seem that Cherry Falls tries to ride along the new age teenage slashers like 'Scream' and 'I Know What You Did Last Summer'. While it's partially true, there's a funny angle about the killer's motives. The killer only slaughter virgins. It's this simple addition that's enough to make Cherry Falls stand out from the 'slashermold'.

Unfortunately the way the story itself unfolds is nothing new. It goes along a trail that's been passed many times before. 'That loser's gonna' get killed next... hmm... and now we're gonna have a cheap scare'. Despite this little problem I think Cherry Falls is still good entertainment.

Michael is solid here. He more than meets the requirements of his character. Sheriff Marken is man who's trying to do his job but is also in conflict with his past. We all know he can be very convincing in an authority role and Sheriff Marken is no exception.

Dutch release is the best one available. It includes DTS sound and original aspect ratio. There's also a spanish release available (dvd.go) that's stated to be uncut with running time of 100min but I've been confirmed it's not uncut.
